Aluminium Alloy BS L158 2014A-T4 Sheet
Technical Data Sheet
Aluminium alloy BS L158 is the aerospace specification for 2014A-T4 bare sheet and strip. L158 is the same alloy and temper as L156, and will always meet the chemistry and mechanical requirements for both, but is produced to tighter rolling tolerances. L158 / 2014A is alloyed with copper (3.90-5.00%) giving it high strength levels of 400 N/mm² UTS minimum. As such L158 finds usage in many aerospace and defence high strength applications where is poor corrosion resistance is not a factor. Aircraft Materials stocks L158 in a wide range of sheet thicknesses ready for same day shipment. Many stock items can be dual-certified to both L156 and L158.
