Aluminium Alloy 6053 is very similar to its counterpart alloy 6061. Aluminum alloy 6061 is an extremely versatile heat treatable aluminum alloy due to its content of silicon and magnesium. Alloy 6053 has lower levels of Iron which gives alloy 6053 more formability than 6061 with slightly less strength. Alloy 6053 uses include solid and tubular rivets.
